Deeds - Bronze, Edition of 9, 32" H x 14" W x 14" D

In the Native American culture, feathers are deeply symbolic, not merely fashion accessories. Subtle details, such as the way a feather is clipped or ornamented and the way it was worn, has a specific meaning. A feather has a lot to say about its wearer.

Each one of the feathers this old warrior is wearing tells a story about his deeds. He caresses one, remembering when and why he received it. After being relocated to a reservation, he knows, sadly, that the way he and his ancestors lived, will never again be the same.
